When the diaphragm filter press is used, after the pulp is dehydrated or the extrusion is dehydrated, the compressed air enters the filter cake on one side of the filter cake in the filter chamber and carries the liquid water from the filter cloth on the other side of the filter cake and is expelled from the filter chamber and dehydrated.

Membrane filter press if both sides of the filter chamber are covered with press cloth, the liquid part can permeate through the press cloth on both sides of the filter chamber to discharge the filter chamber, which is dehydrated on both sides of the filter chamber.

The working performance of diaphragm filter press in industry is to remove the mechanical compaction force of filter plate after dehydration, gradually open the filter plate by a single piece, and respectively open the filter chamber for unloading cakes to complete a main working cycle.According to the properties of the filter materials, the filter press can be set up for pulp dehydration, extrusion dehydration, air dehydration or single and double dehydration, with the purpose of minimizing the water content of the filter cake.
