At present, the belt filter press mainly remove the sludge moisture by three steps: 1. Conditioning stirred tank 2. Gravity enrichment part 3. Sludge dewatering part.
1.Mixing Tank
The sludge and agglutination agent are mixed well in the mixing tank, and then become the easily dewateredflocculants.
2. Gravity Concentration
The sludge after the mixing tank fall onto the gravity concentrated belt and the free water is filtered out during the slow moving process to achieve sludge concentration and reduction to stabilize the structure of mud, improving the efficiency of press dehydration and reducing the moisture content.

1.Gravity Dewatering
The sludge with low solid content after gravity dehydration and screening is distributed uniformly in the filtration zone with a running speed of 1~7m/min, and most of the moisture in the sludge is removed because of the gravity action. There is also a small amount of water that is dehydrated by free gravity through the tiny mesh holes above the filter cloth itself.
2. PressingDehydration.
After gravity dewatering, the sludge goes into the lower belt, and in the case of no side leakage, the sludge is confined to the predetermined width of the belt and the sludge passes through the upper and lower filter belt area in turn. Most of the free water is squeezed out by the tension of the upper and lower filter belt and small angle, and then through a series of fixed size rollers, the dewatering is achieved by increasing the pressure of the extruded sludge one by one. A series of main rollers and auxiliary rollers are entered into the sludge after initial extrusion, and the purpose of high efficiency dewatering is achieved by increasing the sludge extrusion pressure one by one. The sludge that has been dewatered efficiently in the high-pressure shear zone (the area where the pressure of the extruded sludge is increased at the angle of carrying the rollers) changes with an appropriate pressure gradient, forcing a small amount of water remaining in the mud cake to be completely discharged.
